This Privacy Policy explains how BookEngine collects and uses personal data when you use the service.

Who we are

BookEngine is operated by Attila Badi, trading as ABL Media Group, a sole trader registered in Ireland under the Registration of Business Names Act 1963 (registered business name number 770439). Registered place of business: 10 Merrion Park, South Hill Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, A94 HY38, Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question, email [email protected].

What we collect

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Your in-account controls

You can manage your notification preferences and privacy choices from your account settings (Privacy settings). You can update or withdraw consent there at any time.

Cookies and analytics

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. Any analytics we use are privacy first and cookieless (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics, or a self hosted Umami instance where enabled), so they do not set advertising or cross site tracking cookies and this service does not need a cookie consent banner.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf and only as needed: our email provider (the Cloudron mail server) for booking and account messages, and our hosting and security layer (Cloudflare). If you choose to connect a calendar (for example Google Calendar), booking details you select are shared with that provider at your request. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active and as needed for our records, after which we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete data we are not legally required to keep.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie).

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it was last changed.
